Air to Air Africa - Hot Air Ballooning (Lake Heritage, Cradle of Human Kind, Johannesburg)

Air to Air Africa flies from The Cradle of Human Kind; off of the banks of Lake Heritage; and from Heia Safari, a private game reserve. For large groups they can fly from a site of your choosing, if at all suitable. Most flights are about 1 hour in duration and can fly from 4 to 16 passengers. Each flight is different. How high, how long, and where you’ll land no one knows! That is the joy of flight. But sooner or later you will have to land and, after Sparkling wine, the retrieval vehicles will be there to transport you back to the venue.

Price of flight includes Tea/Coffee prior to flight. Sparkling wine and/or Orange Juice on landing, a breakfast and a commemorative certificate.

Big Sky Ballooning Air Balloon Safaris (Dinokeng Game Reserve, Hammanskraal)

These hot air balloon safaris fly predominantly over the Dinokeng Game Reserve and try to take in the beautiful Rust De Winter Dam scenery on takeoff (wind allowing). The company have been flying their balloons in Dinokeng for five years and know the area well ensuring the best possible handling of flights and retrievals for our passengers.

Cost is for a minimum of 6 people. The costs include pre-flight refreshments, in flight soft drinks and sparkling wine and orange juice on landing.

Fly early, every morning of the week including Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting and providedthere is a minimum of two people. Departure times are confirmed when you book Most flights are about 1 hour over the Magalies River Valley which boasts some of the best ballooning weather in the world. They have a fleet of 6 balloons, the smallest balloon takes between four and six passengers and a pilot, the biggest 2 balloons can take up to 18 passengers and a pilot.

Bungee Mogale (Kings Kloof Bridge in Krugersdorp, Mogale City)

50 meters of pure adrenaline rush! Challenge the limits of the mind and test the edge of fear by leaping off the impressive Kings Kloof Bridge on a bungee; fly across the King’s Kloof on a 320m steel cable Foofy Slide or pendulum backwards on the Bridge Swing.

The Bungee, Bridge Swing and 320m Foofy-Slide is open to the public on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 – 17:00. No bookings required on weekends. (Bookings required if more than 10 people during week days OR groups larger than 10 over weekend)

Caving & Abseiling - Wild Cave Adventures (Cradle of Human Kind, Johannesburg)

These caves/abseils cater for the adventure-seeker looking for an opportunity to explore extreme areas safely. At the same time, the excursions are used to develop public awareness in environmental preservation. Guided excursions are run on demand for a minimum of 8, so it is necessary to book by telephone or via e-mail beforehand. Either
you can put together a tour group, or the company will take contact details andpull a group together where possible. Group caving weekends are available on request, with at least three caving/abseiling activities. Each weekend is specifically designed to suit a group's requirement.

Johannesburg Skydiving Club (Carleton, Johannesburg)

Are you a daredevil? Are you at your happiest when adrenalin is rushing through your veins and the wind’s in your hair? If so then a day at the Johannesburg Skydiving Club in Carletonville, west Gauteng, may be the thing for you.

The club, which caters for experienced skydivers and beginners, specialises in tandem jumps. After a short training session, you’ll be hooked up to an instructor with a special yoke. While the instructor does all the work, you’ll be able to enjoy the ride and experience a smooth freefall.

Magaliesberg Canopy Tour (Rusteburg, Magaliesberg)

A unique eco-adventure that takes clients on a tour down the spectacular Ysterhout Kloof, set in the ancient Magaliesberg Mountains. Eleven platforms have been built against the cliffs and rock faces of the kloof and are joined by long steel cables that clients slide along to reach the next platform.

Much like a "foefie" slide, the canopy tour essentially involves zigzagging down the kloof while stopping at each platform to admire the expansive views and surrounding ecology. Two trained canopy guides assure the safety of each participant while describing interesting facts about the indigenous plants, bird life, ecology and geology of the area. Including the briefing session tours last approximately 2,5 hours.

Go Karting - Zartkops Raceway (Pretoria West)

Zwartkops International Kart Raceway is the newest world class international kart circuit in Africa. The Kart circuit is just over 1000m long and is a minimum of eight meters wide. The main straight is 180m-long and 10m wide. The first two corners at the end of the straight are only 12m wide. A unique feature of the International Kart Circuit is the Bridgestone Flyover, where the circuit actually crosses over itself. The sloping terrain of Zwartkops lends itself to great spectator viewing points and promises the drivers a challenging roller coaster ride.
